Speaker Lee Flinn, MBA, Director, Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline and Harry Beaulieu, PhD, CIH, CSP, FAIHI

Lee Flinn will describe the breadth of the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline, as well as the new 988 Mental Health Crisis Hotline (scheduled to launch on July 16, 2022). Lee will describe how the hotline provides 24/7 support (call, text, chat) in crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and will cover talking about suicide, risk factors, warning signs, and suicide in the US and in Idaho.

Harry Beaulieu will provide an overview of suicide statistics by industry and occupation and why this is so important for safety professionals.  He will discuss how to recognize a potential problem, and what actions to take.  He will explain how a responder will use the Pathways to Assisting Life (PAL) model to keep a caller safe and will describe how use of the model will apply to one typical call. We hope you can join us for this very important presentation.
